A Love Letter to the Women in my Life.

Thank you. Thank you for holding space for me even when gloomy, shrouded in cloud. A vibrant light through the hazy grey. Thank you for building with me by sharing your stories. Stories that make up the foundation of the feminine experience. Helping me to understand that love and collective healing is a result of empathy, allyship, and support. The mothers, daughters, sisters, siblings, aunts, and friends that engage in kin-keeping are the glue in holding their communities together. We are powerful. You don’t need permission to take up space, whether quietly or loudly. You shouldn’t ask to be romanced or appreciated when you have loving women in your life. They romance you through kindness and inherent care always given, seldom recognized. I see you, am you, and acknowledge everything you have ever done or will ever do. Softly loud or in forcible silence.
